Unlike stud-mounted rockers , shaft rockers are mounted on a rigid steel shaft that resist deflection and ending. The shaft is anchored to a machined steel stand, becoming an integral part of the cylinder head structure. Shaft rockers resist side loads and maintain optimum valvetrain geometry.
